Javed Murad started White Owl Brewery in 2013-14 in Mumbai. The idea struck when he visited his home in India from the US and saw that there were not many good local craft beers in India. So he wanted to create a beer that is unique and of high quality, yet affordable for Indian beer lovers.
The brewing in Mumbai in the initial days was done using tap water. Later, they moved to Raisen in Madhya Pradesh for a bigger production setup. In Raisen, the local water is carefully treated to make sure that no taste remains in it. This helps in making every batch of beer taste the same, no matter what.

In terms of grains, they are imported from Germany and Belgium to ensure nothing but the best quality. The main focus is on aging the beer and natural fermentation.

Spark is a light-bodied wheat beer (Witbier) and has a very hazy appearance. It has refreshing orange-citrus notes with a mild sweetness that perfectly balances its low bitterness.
